What’s in THE WORD?

CTS hosted their first ever summer Bible Study this year led by Andrea Grammer. She shared her personal testimony about how God grew her understanding, and she empowered us to define words and look up their synonyms and antonyms. It is so important to know what something means AND doesn’t mean. The devil loves nothing more than to sprinkle in a bit of truth with his lies!

It has been a game changer! I fully expect every time I open the Bible for the Holy Spirit to illuminate a word to me. The Bible has become so rich as I plumb the depths. I am falling more in love every day as He unfolds His Word to me.

God’s Word is like TNT: When the Holy Spirit ignites the Word in you, it will blow your mind!

God’s Word is like a flower: It starts out in seed form. He pours out Living Water on it, causing it to grow and blossom, producing an intoxicating fragrance.

God’s Word is like a treasure hunt: As you dig into His Word, God whets your appetite causing you to dig even further as you find treasure unending.

God’s Word is like the choicest of foods: Imagine your favorite thing to eat. As you take that first bite, there is an explosion in your mouth as you savor every flavor. And you are invited! “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” —Psalm 34:8a

In the ‘Learn to Love the Word’ Encounter, Tanya teaches us to pray before we read. I KNOW!!! Who would’ve thought?!? Can I pray for you?

Father God, I praise You for the gift of Your Word! As we begin to open it, page after page is a love story to us. Everything You do is bathed in love! For every person that reads this, cause a hunger to well up in them. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, cause the words to jump off the page and create curiosity to know what they mean. Enrich their understanding. Exalt their hearts at the beauty of it all. Transform them! May it be like a fire shut up in their bones that they can’t contain (Jeremiah 20:9).

In Jesus name, Amen
