The Glory of God

Read the following scriptures out loud and slow:

“Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.” Psalm 96:6

“The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” Psalm 19:1

“You are worthy, O Lord our God,     to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things,     and they exist because you created what you pleased.” Revelation 4:11

I felt as though I personally experienced these verses last week while on an Alaskan cruise. I can say I have never cried before looking at creation. I have been in awe of mountains, etc., but this different. Maybe it was the fresh, crisp air and the refreshing silence accompanying what I was witnessing. If you have seen Endicott Arm Fjords before or Butchart Gardens, you know what I mean when I say it is almost embarrassing to share the pictures you took because the images don’t even come close to representing what you observed.

The stunning scenery of Alaska left a great impression on me as the Scriptures confirmed God’s creation could give us great rest, strength, and behold His glory.
