Emergency Prayer

Right now, I have many friends who are in a full-blown spiritual battle.   The Bible tells us to “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8).

I could write pages about the enemy’s tactics and how he works through others and our culture in such clever ways that propels us into disharmony, dissension, and division with each other.

Friends, understand this, the battle has already been won! Jesus was the game changer, the hero. Jesus started the battle at the cross and finished it by His Resurrection! Since, then, we have been raised with Christ, it is game over! Let us stop playing a game we have already been declared the Champions, and start praying God’s unchanging, unshakable truth against our enemy’s methods.

As Christians, let us stay focused and unified and lift each other up through the divinely powerful weapon of prayer.

Heavenly Father, thank you for Your mighty armor you have given us in Ephesians 6 for us to put on with the igniting power of prayer. Lord, as your children, we declare victory over the enemy and his ways.  Lord, we are praying for strength to stand firm during our difficult circumstances, knowing You are for us and not against us. Thank You, Lord, as we stand firm, focused, and unified from a position of victory!  Lord, let praises to You flow from our lips as we rest in the knowledge that this battle is not ours, but Yours. We give you thanks Lord, for it is YOUR love endures forever. We pray boldly, yet humbly, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thanks for praying and will share New Testament Nuggets next week.

Scriptures used in the above prayer:

Colossians 3:1-22 Chronicles 20:15-22 Ephesians 6:10-20 Philippians 1
