Wisdom Nuggets!

I love one-liners, motto’s, and other life and leadership nuggets that I can write on my oversized sticky notepad and put on my office walls.

Right now, from my office chair, my walls surround me with life-giving scriptures, quotes, prayers, and one-liners. Reading these words daily, ignites my faith, and helps me to focus on the truth, and what is good and pure.

Let me share with you some of my favorites and maybe they will strengthen you too.

* “Beware of paying attention or going back to what you once were when God wants you to be something that you have never been.”

* “Fill me with you Lord so that my first instinct and first response to others is love! Expecting nothing in return.”

* God is not something you add to your life- God is your life.

* Clinging to your past makes it very hard to step into your future.

* Pray more than you plan

* Don’t put a due date on God’s appointed time. (Genesis 18:11-14)

* Words kill or give life. (Proverbs 18:21, James 3:6-10)

* Active faith can praise a promise though not yet performed (2 Chronicles 20:18-19)

* Without God, everything is pointless (Ecclesiastes 2:17-23)

* Peace is not found in the absence of conflict but in the presence of forgiveness. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

* Our perspective might change, but God remains the same. We have to be willing to trust God despite the heavy sadness covering our hearts. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

* Lives are forever changed because of contact with Jesus. (Mark 5: 25-31)

* Productivity of the seed is dependent on the receptivity of the soil. (Luke 8:11-15)

* Paul accepted his adversity and used his platform to impact the Kingdom. (Acts 16:22-40)

* Freedom comes from obedience (Romans 6:15-18)

* Paul’s prayer for spiritual growth (Ephesians 3:14-21)

* Focus on who He is as opposed to what you are enduring. (Philippians 4:8-9)

* Pray “not to get me out of this”, but “what can I get out of this.” (Colossians 4:3-6)

* Either assist or resist the enemy. ( 1 Peter 5:8-9)

* There is built-in friction for those who know and serve Christ and those who don’t. (1 John 3:1)

These are just a few notes scribbled in the margins of His message. I would encourage you to read the Bible and listen for His voice as you sit and soak in His Word.

Accept what God has done FOR you, then let Him work IN you, so He can work THROUGH you.
