There are two types of fear. Real fear and false fear appearing real. Obviously, in these uncertain times affecting everyone, there is a reason for real concern. But God has given us freedom from fear, and only He can quiet our souls.

When we experience difficult times, it shouldn’t separate us from God. What separates us from God is fear. And fear in its purest form is unbelief. It is a false conviction that “God can’t, God won’t, so I must.”

We have two choices. We can focus on the “Giant” in front of us, or we can focus on God, our Sovereign Creator.

If we focus on our “Giants,” we stumble.

If we focus on God, our “Giants” tumble.

Friends, God knows exactly what is going on and what is coming in the days ahead. Seek Him! Trust Him! Pray for a willingness to seek and trust Him. We certainly have the time now.

Did you know that Jesus prays for us?

Here’s the truth:

If you could hear the Lord praying for you, you would not fear a thousand enemies. Right where you are this moment, think of the Lord Jesus as in the next room, on His knees. His nail-pierced hands are held out, and He’s lifting you and your need to His Father. He knows your exact situation, and He’s asking His Father to “Give her strength, Lord.” “Give her wisdom, God.” “Give them patience. They’re going to wreck it on their own, Lord. Give them faith that will overcome their fear!”

Heavenly Father strengthen us. Lord, grant us an overwhelming desire to focus on you and your ways. Let us all experience your great faithfulness and be Your hands and feet to others who need encouragement and hope. In Jesus Name, Amen.
