One Thing Remains

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open, and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-16

I’m sure some of you have read this verse in the past couple of days as it circulates through social media. After pondering those scriptures, I wonder if maybe God is leading us to pray in unison? Or possibly reminding us again to align our lives with His, by reading and meditating on His Word.

When in our history has our ENTIRE world been stopped with such a great halt? What a divine, genuine, honest act from Him. God wants us to stop.

Like most of you, I am now working from home. Hourly, we see are normal activities getting canceled, moved, or changed in some way. BUT ONE THING REMAINS THE SAME, OUR UNCHANGING, FOREVER FAITHFUL GOD!

When our worry arises, may prayer be our first “go to.” Let’s dig deep, asking God to take our relationship with Him to a new level of trust.

Lord, thank you for being constant. As we step into this new territory, I ask that you help guide us and align us back to your word, promises, and truth. God, I pray that we, as Believers, find Hope, Peace, Rest, and Joy in You. May our testimonies of your hope be seen in our daily actions, and words. Strengthening each other and encouraging those who don’t know you to seek you. Lord, Heal our land and your people. We love you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
