If the title got your attention, good! Be encouraged to keep reading, for praising God can change your prayer life.
Too often we approach our prayer time with a list of “asks.” Our Sovereign Lord already knows what we want, but we ask anyway.
Are you needing financial stability? Tell God He is your All-Sufficient Provider. Feeling fearful or anxious? Tell God that you are relying on your Protector. He tells you every day to “fear not” in His Word. Do you need healing; physical, emotional, relational? Praise God that He is your Healer, your Strong Tower in times of trouble.
Every time we pray with praise on our hearts and lips, what changes first is us. We put God on the throne of our lives, and we lay our burdens at God’s feet. We take the focus off of us, and put it on our Heavenly Father. He alone can free us from the yoke of slavery.
The Bible is very clear about “lukewarm” Christians (Revelation 3:16). We are to approach our Lord with bold prayers, praising God for Who He is.
We exalt You, O Lord, as our All-in-All. You know what we need, and You graciously supply all of our needs according to Your glorious riches. In You, we lack nothing. In the Generous Name of Jesus. Amen.
