After It Breaks

Know Him, Know Peace!

No Him, No Peace!

I’m sure you have probably seen this maxim on a Church sign somewhere in Smalltown, USA.

I think it is clever and summarizes numerous scriptures about peace.

God is the author of peace.

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.. 1 Corinthians 14:33

Isaiah 9:6 tells us Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

Peace is promised for believers:

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3

Maybe your life is in turmoil right now. Each day brings you to ask, “Will this storm ever end?” Peace is what you are desperate for. And even though it seems like He is taking His time in quieting your storm, without fail, God does offer His peace that passes all understanding.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Father, Prince of Peace, thank you that you can and will give us peace throughout our storms. Calm our minds and let us stay focused on You, the perfecter of our faith, as we trust, and lean not on our own understanding. We praise You, and we are grateful! In Jesus name, Amen
